"Keep away or feel the egg beater!"

... yeah, my title refers to random quotes I kept screaming today as I was baking.

Naz + Mixer + Sharp knives + Baking = Snappiness equivalent to illustrating.

Plus, my sister kept floating around lazily and I had to keep barking orders at her in order to help. @_@ I must admire my mom's way around the kitchen; she can cook perfectly well while maintaining order in the kitchen (by order, I mean mess) whereas I'm scrambling trying to find the nutmeg that I had spotted yesterday.

I don't hate cooking... I love cooking/baking, but I get so worked up in the kitchen. XD And I hate anything powdered, because no matter how many times I handle flour or confectioner's sugar, it always manages to go "POOF!" and end up over my clothes.

So yeah... Mother's Day, well considering I had never really done anything truly special, I made breakfast (which ended up getting eaten by our family friends as well who dropped by for a surprise visit). Cucumber sandwiches (I make them a specific way XD), nutty orange coffee cake and, "Eggs in a Nest" which... when I saw it done on the Food Network, Paula Dean made it look really easy but lemme tell you: phyllo is a pain in the arse to work with. For those who are experts at making baklava, they oughta be well aware that the stuff dries out very quickly, and it's irritating to keep dampening it with a wet towel.

In the end, I pulled through and I'm making the coffee cake again because everyone ate it... and I was secretly hoping there would be some left over. ;_; It was really, really, good. I'm making breakfast for Sharlyn the next time she visits! XO

Speaking of Sharlyn, nice haircut! (Why is it that quote makes me twitch in the depths of my memory...)

My Honors block from last year had a party and we went to a classmate's AMAZING house (both of his parents are doctors, you be the guess of how big it was =P). First off, it was right next to the beach. A BEACH. Though, I didn't swim because 1) I was stupid not to bring swim stuff and 2) Alaskan waters? Even if it was hot, I still wouldn't do it. XD

The guy's house is... wow. I mean, you go through the kitchen through the double French doors and then there's the wooden deck, then there's a grassy field, and you run down some more and there's the beach! I thought it was really cool of them to have their own custom built shower outside too, which btw, was next to the hot tub. (I hate myself for not bringing swim wear... -twitch-)

We were supposed to go sailing since a bunch of our classmates bought their sail boats (his house also has dock) but the winds weren't strong enough and we weren't in the mood for paddling (losers). So we ended up playing on his tennis court (which is the standard size, might I add) a game of Ultimate Frisbee, and since we weren't being graded on it, we had a good time. I made two goals after accidentally scoring for the other team. (Team sports are not my strong point!)

One of our classmates brought a potato gun, and nothing can add up to how hilarious my friend's face was when she heard it explode the first time. Course, I was climbing a wall when that happened and nearly fell off because the explosion caught me by surprise too. What a good waste of potatoes! Oh well, for the sake of science I suppose~

The funniest part about it was, later on in the night while everyone was watching The Office, Ashley and I watched as 3 other guys had fun with a lighter and hairspray. Now, put the two together and you might as well call it a flame thrower. Things got a little dangerous though when they used the potato gun as "tunnel" to shoot the fire through.

It was cool at first but they had trouble keeping the flame on, so eventually some guy stuck his head at the end of the potato gun, and at the same time he was lighting the flame while his friend sprayed the hair spray.

And of course, out of the times they tried a HUGE flame shoots out and the guy falls backwards as he tries to dodge the flame. Me, Ashley, and our friend Keli ran to him since he was covering his face and we had the horrible idea that he had burned his face (actually to be honest we were scared we'd get in trouble too for letting him do something like that XD) but he ended up laughing and we gasped at him. His bang and eye brows were singed and it's amazing he got out with not serious burns. I suppose his reflexes in soccer saved his face! ^^;

It's one of those things where, you shouldn't laugh because he could be in serious trouble, but I burst into laughter afterwards, as did the others. Besides, we all had the bad premonition that something like that was going to happen as he kept looking through the top end of the potato gun.

Their potato gun is very awesome... and it hurts if you get hit straight by their potato gun. I would know, because I got one to the gut when I tried taking pictures of beach. @____@

Also, my friends have an obsession with getting me wet, especially Ashley, who cruelly pushed me into the water and into the shower, then expressed her desire to spray me with the hose when she had the chance.

I love Ashley, I really do, and I think she's awesome... but she's the only friend I have who strikes fear into me, because she sticks to her word! She's thrown numerous books and food items at me and has whip creamed me. When Nerf Wars begins in senior year for me, I specifically want her on my team so she doesn't kill me with the Nerf gun; knowing her she'll target me and I'd like to go out of the house without the fear of being hit and disabled for a few days. It's like that in SSB; even if there are two other players to fight with, she'll specifically chase me around the stage. -.-;

Speaking of Nerf Wars... I really need to start practicing my aim. No doubt our team would go against a team of guys, and some of them have been planning their strategy since 7th grade. << Luckily for me, no one but Ashley really knows my daily pattern, and I'm the kind of person who is unpredictable in when I go out, and when I don't go out. 8D

That doesn't mean you have to stand up for me. ^^; Especially when it doesn't bother me. I appreciate what you're doing though... but still...

Mind you, he does this sort of thing a lot... though this is the first time he's done it on my page. 0_o Anyways, once again I'm sorry, he tends to be like this.

Gah... I'm sorry for my brother's rudeness... frankly, I don't care either way if a person posted to compliment me or the advertise. I do the same thing out of lazy-ness, which is human nature after all.
*Neon-Nazo:iconNeon-Nazo: Apr 5, 2008, 1:45:20 PM
Bane, I do the same thing only because i'm naturally lazy like that. XD It's human nature, and it doesn't bother me whether or not she was advertising, frankly, I'm really not worth watching. XP
